A national insolvency practice has recently been appointed as administrator to a legal practice based in Manchester. The practice specialised in personal injury claims but forthcoming changes to the funding of personal injury claims and poor trading results in recent months are understood to have caused the business to collapse into administration.

As a result of the administration process, a Sheffield based law firm has been appointed by the administrators to ensure that all client files are protected and, where possible, transferred over to them. The administrator has commented “It was not feasible to trade the business, regrettably this has resulted in the closure of the practice and the redundancy of the company’s employees. Our top priority is to ensure that the affairs of the clients are dealt with properly and promptly”.
